Mandatory inspection of passenger lifts
Regular inspection of passenger lifts helps prevent incidents and accidents. Do you as an owner want to avoid being held liable after an accident? Then make sure that the mandatory inspections of your lift are carried out even while the property is vacant.
When do checks have to be performed?
- On commissioning
- 12 months after commissioning
- and every 18 months thereafter
The ‘Lifts (commodities act) decree’ specifies that the owner is responsible for having inspections carried out promptly and professionally by an accredited body. This is something that can quickly be forgotten while a property is vacant, but Camelot will take care of it.
