Join us at the ICSH Housing Conference
The 2015 ICSH Biennial National Social Housing Conference, backed by AIB, will take place in the Tullamore Court Hotel, Tullamore, Co. Offaly on 16-17 September 2015.
The theme of the 2015 conference is ‘Turning the Tide for Social Housing - Performance, Partnership and Delivery’. This conference is set in the context of the implementation of the Government’s Social Housing Strategy (2015 – 2020) and the need to address the huge level of social housing need that currently exists in Ireland together with the real problems facing homeless households, particularly families who need a stable housing environment.
The conference will challenge delegates to examine and debate solutions in a number of areas such as further increased delivery through the framework of the Social Housing Strategy, commitment to supported independent living for people with special needs, delivery of sustainable communities within Construction 2020, innovation in social housing design and energy use, active asset management, housing association collaboration for example of housing delivery through a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), regulation and risk, and support for homeless households.
The conference programme has been developed to bring together key stakeholders to draw on international experience as well as innovative approaches from Ireland. Delegates wishing to attend the conference will benefit from:
Networking with a broad range of stakeholders attending and forging further working business partnerships.
Thought-provoking presentations, case studies and research findings through plenary and designated workshops.
Assessing relevant national and international practice and learning.
Witnessing the promotion of good practice solutions through the Community Housing Awards as well as supplies and services for social housing providers.
Contributing your own thinking and views to the many sessions you are interested in.
